Nena Evans x Petal & Pup: Luxe Edition Collection

My collection with Petal & Pup, the Luxe Edition, is LIVE! I am so excited to finally share these pieces with you. I have been wearing Petal & Pup for years so when they approached me about designing my own pieces with them it was such an easy YES! We spent months fine tuning the vision, reviewing samples, and perfecting every detail. Each piece was created to inspire confidence and elevate your style.

This collection has something for every occasion – show-stopping event styles, pieces for date night, and must haves for the office. My goal was to create pieces that are timeless with modern touches that take the guesswork out of looking effortlessly chic. I am so proud of what I’ve created with Petal & Pup and can’t wait to see the collection on you!

Fall Wedding Guest Dresses

I’m so excited to share some of my favorite fall wedding guest dress options today! When it comes to dressing for a wedding in the fall I typically reach for pieces with velvet textures, jewel tones, or shine to keep my look seasonally appropriate. I mean when else can you wear a marigold velvet dress?! Here are my favorite fall wedding guest dresses from Nordstrom.

On top of finding the perfect fall wedding guest dress, it can also be challenging to dress for fall’s indecisive weather. Often it’s warm when the wedding starts but by the time the reception comes it’s chilly. I highly recommend bringing a layer so that you’re comfortable all night long. Opt for a shawl if the weather is warmer or a faux fur jacket in cooler temperatures. Here are some beautiful outerwear pieces that would be perfect layers for your fall wedding guest look!

Spring Wedding Guest Dresses

Spring wedding season is right around the corner, so I’m sharing some of my favorite wedding guest dress from Nordstrom. The most important thing to keep in mind is the required attire listed on the invitation. Attire will determine how dressy you need to be and the venue will allow you choose an appropriate style, accessories, and shoes. When in doubt always err on the side of caution and be overdressed instead of underdressed.

Hotel

I always think of a fitted sheath dress for a hotel reception. It is classic, sophisticated, and never disappoints. Take advantage of the even walking surface and jazz up your look with some fun heels!

Winery

Often winery weddings are in remote areas so the ceremony and reception are on the property. Footwear is crucial to ensure you are comfortable and able to enjoy the day without picking grass out of your stilettos. I love platforms and block heels for outdoor venues. Opt for floral patterns, flowy silhouettes, and soft colors to match the vineyard vibe.

Garden

Think of a garden wedding the same way you think about a winery but slightly less formal. Loose fitting silhouettes and block heels are key to staying comfortable in an outdoor event setting.

Art Gallery

Art galleries and museums by nature tend to be very formal as an event space. There’s likely hundreds millions of dollars of art around the building so it lends itself to a more dressy environment. Opt for a longer dress in a fitted silhouette for a more formal look.

Beach

Flowy silhouettes, flat sandals (not flip flops), and fun prints are all appropriate for a beach ceremony. A dressy maxi and pearl accessories would be perfect for a seaside wedding.

Estate

Think historic mansion or luxury villa. These venues are a bit more versatile so I’d choose a dressy cocktail dress in a print if it’s more casual and a solid if it’s more formal.

Wedding Guest Dresses for Summer

It is officially wedding season and it is busier than ever! With so many brides having to postpone in 2020, the number of weddings this year is just crazy. But I’m excited to celebrate all the love this year and ready to step out in style. By popular request, I am rounding up some of my favorite wedding guest dress options all from Nordstrom. It’s one of my favorite places to shop because the selection is top notch and they have free shipping and free returns!

Outfit details: Dress (XS) || Fit is TTS and incredibly flattering! The back is open and low but stunning!

Outfit details: Dress (4) || Fit is snug through hips and thighs and a bit looser in the bust – I should have gotten a 2! Material is thick, flattering, and very forgiving. Also comes in black!

Outfit details: Dress (XS) || Fit is TTS and the movement is gorgeous! Also comes in solid colors as well

Outfit details: Dress (2 US) || Fit is TTS with a little extra room in the mid section

Outfit details: Dress (2 US) || Fit is TTS but the straps are VERY long and the neckline is wide and plunging so special undergarments are required

Outfit details: Dress (XS) || Fit is TTS – I think this one may be better suited for a baby shower or non-bridal event because it’s more white than I thought when I ordered it!
