When summer rolls around my heart starts to sing. I live for the warm weather, patio hangs, and endless sunshine. But the reality is that summer also means lots of humidity which calls for a makeup and skincare refresh that can beat the heat. Everyone knows that skincare is the precursor to bomb looking makeup and this moisturizer is IT. It is like a little facial in a jar. This cream instantly plumps and firms leaving your skin looking flawless. The best part is that is actually improves the look and feel of your skin over time too.
Can we even talk about summer beauty without talking about bronzer? I didn’t think so. I’ve been on the hunt for a bronzing powder that doesn’t look cake-y and is cool toned but deep enough to give me a little extra color. The NARS in shade Laguna is the move.
The creme de la creme of setting powder. I’ve looked low and high and still have not found one better than this. It locks in your makeup, reduces shine, and minimizes the appearance of pores. The ultimate multi-tasker.
Esteé Lauder Stay In Place Double Wear Foundation
Best foundation period. I could write a novel about this magical liquid. This has been my tried and true foundation for the past 8 years. It’s semi-matte (aka not a dewy finish but not porcelain doll finish either), buildable, and photographs like a dream. Oh and for those of us that struggle with blemishes this won’t break you out.
Charlotte Tilbury Highlighter & Primer
There’s just something about a glow that screams summer. I love this liquid highlight mixed into moisturizer for an all over radiance or just dabbed on top of my cheekbones for a sunlit glow from within. Do yourself a favor, glow and get it.
If you’ve been here a while you know that I like big lashes and I cannot lie, hehe. Big bold lashes start with primer and this one is gold. The formula glides on so easily and does all the work – lengthens, curls, and voluminizes. A great primer is the key to beautiful lashes!
